The blades used in the 9ZP are heat-treated manganese steel blades, which have been specially processed through a heat treatment process to provide sharpness and wear resistance for a long life.
The blades used in the Weiwei9ZPchaff cutter are made of manganese steel, a high-strength wear-resistant steel that is mainly used in harsh conditions where it is subjected to extreme crushing, impact and material wear. Manganese steel is very hard and the main forms of damage are mainly wear depletion, partial fracture and deformation. Wear of manganese steels is generally divided into three types: frictional wear where the surfaces of metal parts come into contact with each other and move, as well as abrasive wear where other metals or non-metals strike the manganese steel and erosive wear where flowing gases or liquids come into contact with the metal.
